Meanwhile in the Pacific North West, a massive atmospheric river has arrived. Normally this time of year, snow enthusiasts like myself are excited about all the snow that would be falling however the snow elevation is really high, too high to snow at the ski resorts. A series of flood watches has been issued, and while the weather forecasts are not always accurate this storm ain't looking too good for our valuable snowpack.
Here is a shot of Little Tahoma taken last week, Im guessing I was at around 8500ft/2600m which should receive an incredible amount of snow thankfully throughout the week. The forecasting temps are fluctuating daily but in general seem to be holding at around 7000ft/2130m. I attached a screenshot of the forecast for this area, which could receive several feet or about a meter+ per day! At least the glaciers will get some.
If you believe in snow dancing... this is a good time to get your groove on!
