I normally do my weekly shopping early on a Saturday morning so I’m generally in a well stocked mostly empty supermarket. It’s a pleasant calm time that kicks off my weekend quite nicely.

For reasons beyond my control I’ve had to go shopping this week around lunchtime on Friday. On Good Friday. Queues out the door. No bloody bread left!

Bloody hell people are mad. You’d swear we were all heading back into a Covid style lockdown. I’m losing the will to live.

Made today:

One loaf sourdough bread.
One loaf cinnamon and raisin bread.
500g egg pasta pappardelle.
Pork and onion ragù.

Also, harvested branches of bay to dry leaves and see if cuttings will strike.
