I hate to kink-shame, but it's hard not to look at the masochistic aspect of people who insist on being tuned into the 24/7 news feed and not see it as a perverse way to cosplay being a 14th century flagellant in 2025. After a point, you're really just getting off on the pain as the sole point of the exercise. One can be informed without offering your scarred back to the lash of the whip at every moment.
