Katie FeatherstoneI've left #Iceland now, but at some point during the summer I was spending a lot of time with this lake. The shallows were full of tiny fish, then, without any warning, it plummeted deeper than my depth into murky darkness with long tendrils of water weed obscuring where the bottom might have been.
Dan, about half an hour into the first day of our holiday, carrying the tent, sleeping stuff, cooking stuff, clothes etcetc... while my bag was 3/4 filled with eight day's worth of food. The backpacks got less and less ridiculous every morning, thankfully.
It's very confusing to have a place like this feel like home.
