@emsquared @wendinoakland Yes, Fig Newtons is the name of a commercial variety in the United States. It's named after Newton, Massachusetts. I gather the company (the Kennedy Biscuit Company, now NABISCO) just chose a town near Boston as the name. #FigNewtons #FigRolls

@emsquared Well, I had to look up "fig rolls" but the answer seems to be "yes," but perhaps the shape of Fig Newtons is flatter (better for boxing?).
