Help! Need iPhone/iTunes assistance.

Music transferred to iPhone from cd (way back when) isn’t transferring over onto my iTunes.
I’d like to put a new cd onto my iPhone via iTunes but am concerned that if I synced with the library, I’ll lose all my older cd music (as not on the computer/itunes).

How much do I miss just being able to drag and drop music onto my phone!!!

I had pain and didn't know why or how for the first time on my 30th birthday. Now my body has been wrong for a few weeks and I have done something to my sciatic nerve during a (perceived) completely normal right hip rotation. I feel soooo old because of this restriction of movement.
