The reported disposition of this locomotive is, retired March 1997. Sold April 1997. Became NREX 4338. Leased to Cargil. Current status not known. Presumed scrapped.

Reportedly: it was upgraded in 1976 emerging as SP SD9E 4418 SP Class EF618E-1.
The reported disposition of this locomotive was, SP 4418 retired in 1995. Sold in 1996 to Progress Rail. Went to Nevada Northern. Became BHP-Nevada 205. Current status not known, presumed scrapped.
