Dr Mark ButlerJust witnessed police bullying at Sydney Central station. They called a 14y.o. kid an Eshay and asked if he was from Campbelltown (my area in South Western Sydney and used as an insult unfortunately). The kid said he was from Redfern (once an Indigenous suburb) and a cop said he could smell that on him.
Guys with these haircuts and clothes do get a bad wrap and sometimes do cause trouble. Still, the police bullied him right after they saw him go out of his way to give money to a homeless indigenous woman sitting on the floor.
