After university, I was working a boring office job, when my Christian coworkers invited me on a missions trip to the Dominican Republic. I was so curious about learning Spanish and Dominican culture that 2 weeks became 2 years. I learned Spanish very well and earned my nickname Local Jo, or as Dominicans used to call me "aplatanao" 🍌 🇩🇴 It was in the DR that I lost my faith. 7/14
