ephy.Disappointed in myself that I let guard down while on vacation with my family. One of them tested positive last night for covid, thankfully, my mom & I tested negative this morning, but are showing symptoms. Just started my new job too, here’s hoping they understand if I end up testing positive & having to take another week off.
Four days left working in retail. It feels relieving, but somehow my body keeps trying to find stress in unlikely places. Clearly my anxiety is working overtime, though firing off at the wrong things.
Life update: got a job new job. Will be starting in a few weeks. They seem real rad, but I’m hesitant for now, but it must be much better than the retail life.
Actually, it’s just now hit me. I’m finally getting out of retail. That is a big fucking win. 
Tried & failed at starting my herbs & veggies from seed. Very grateful my partner’s mother is a farmer & has some extras to give us for our garden. 
Life updates:
- Didn’t get a cat, my allergies couldn’t handle it.
- Might get a dog, two pals at work have litters of accidental puppies that are damn cute.
- My new boss is trying to get me a $2 raise.
- The weather is divine.
New cat showed up to my partner’s family’s farm! I’m hopefully going to meet her today… & determine if I’m willing to bring her home with us/be very allergic.
I will never forget one of my ex coworkers who said he would love to get Elon’s brain chip & I interjected saying “You’d get a chip put in your brain, but not the covid vaccine?” & my other coworkers busted out laughing & my ex coworker laughed too, realizing he couldn’t talk his way out of that one.
Anyways, technology & medical advancements are gr8, but I don’t trust a chip in my brain just yet, especially one made by Elon.
The living room is coming together nicely! Honestly, all we are missing are paintings, art, the “cherry on tops”!
Got a lot of stares today. Not sure if it was due to the mask, the medical boot, or the inability to figure out what gender I was. 
Overanalyzing how different my toe wound looks on a day to day basis frantically googling what infection looks like after toenail removal surgery is not what I wanted to do on my two week LOA.
