@debacle I might also set up a new org-mode file for that habits approach. About keywords, you can make any you like. For example, in one file I have this sequence to-do line in an out-of-the-way place:

#+SEQ_TODO: TODO NEXT DEFER WAIT RECUR SOMEDAYMAYBE | INPROCESS DONE CANCELLED TOFILE
