The boss shook his head, "I know, but what are we gonna do."

"We've got to call him."

"He's retired! Leave him be, this is no longer his fight."

"What choice do we have? The Tigers run everything, we need someone from the outside with a fresh set of eyes."

The boss shakes his head and agrees. He picks up the phone and dials out.

"Get Encyclopedia Brown on the horn. And make it fast!"

Law and Order Toronto just did their own version of the Encyclopedia Brown "nobody would put mustard on top of sauerkraut on a hot dog!" counterfactual clue and it's about as hilarious as you'd imagine. (incidentally I have always put my right thumb on top and I had no idea that this is apparently unnatural and if I ever died like that everybody would think I was murdered)

And I only just realized, looking it up to confirm it for that toot, that Bugs' last name is spelled "Meany" and not "Meaney". I got it wrong in my previous #EncyclopediaBrown toots.

Encyclopedia knew that Bugs Meany had done it because whenever Bugs Meany shows up in a story, he's the guilty one.

Also, his last name is literally "Meany".

When Encyclopedia pointed this out, Bugs confessed.
