T_XBtw. anyone familiar with #PIM (protocol independent #multicast)? Was thinking about decoupling unicast and multicast routers. A multicast router with #pim6sd would have an eth0 with an #IPv6 default gateway, without BGP etc. Then multiple other (tunnel) interfaces to connect to other multicast routers / pim6sd instances. These would only have link-local addresses. However then #pim6sd would complain/decline: "next hop router is [...]: NOT A PIM ROUTER". Does that make sense for #EmbeddedRP?
Yaiy, it works! The full integration test for a #multicast audio stream at #Freifunk involving #Gluon, #batman_adv, @gstreamer and #brmldproxy + #pim6sd + #EmbeddedRP with routing between @ffhl and a test domain at @Freifunk Vogtland was successful (at least with pim6sd in #MLDv1 mode).
Next need to do a few, small updates to my brmldproxy integration pull-requests for Gluon. And need to look into the #MLDv2 mode issues with #pim6sd. And need to document some more stuff.
