Both solar and battery systems costs have just dropped to the point that grid defection will save the average family money, but this could increase emissions in some cases.

@Angelinelasa agreed. As someone who was without #electricy for nearly 4 days back then, I have stocked up on a few cases of water and some firewood just to play it safe. My kids always need the bottle water for sports anyways and I love a good fire at night.
