I completed ALL 24 TryHackMe's (THM) "Advent of Cyber" Rooms. THM always outdoes itself with these rooms. I enjoyed learning about AI, Prompt Injection, C# and C2 servers, and Digital Forensics on an Android device.

: Super late post (again), LOL.

I meant to recap my #NCEducationPolicyFellowshipProgram Winter Retreat experience last week, but preparing for finals week has been an interesting experience.

The Winter Retreat was a fun and engaging experience. It was also lovely to meet my fellow cohort members in person as opposed to Zoom.

The retreat's highlight was Dr. Dudley Flood's presentation. If you are unfamiliar with Dr. Flood, he is a former educator and administrator with the N.C. Department of Public Instruction who was instrumental in desegregating North Carolina schools.

Listening to Dr. Flood describe his advocacy in North Carolina and beyond to make education equitable was genuinely inspiring. The crucial part of the presentation was when Dr. Flood told three questions he used when doing advocacy work.

Question 1 - What? (what is the issue that needs to be addressed/mitigated)

Question 2 - So What? (why is this issue important)

Question 3 - Now What? (what is the solution)

While these three questions seem surface-level - answering them provides much context on the work that still needs to be done.

I will incorporate these three questions when doing advocacy work for #educationpolicy, #digitalliteracy, and #cybersecurity with The Accelerated Training Program (T-ATP).
