It was a very special day for participants in Transition Chipping Norton's outdoor youth project which they run in partnership with Learn2Sustain.
They recently hosted a group from the Maasai community in Kenya, cooking lunch for them, exploring each others culture and lives, and sharing some fun and games.
People from all ages and projects in the Transition group later enjoyed a campfire supper and the chance to connect with each other at an ancient stone circle near the town, watching the sunset together and reflecting on the exchange and our common humanity.
Cara Hedges from the group said it reminded everyone "what we do here affects those that are in Africa, how simple their life is and how complex we’ve made ours and just spend some time reflecting on what we can do to support all of those that we are affecting with our choices.”
