As part of World Sparrow Day, Koodugal Trust and the Old Students Association of Bharathi Women’s College, Chennai organized a String Art & Sparrow Nest Box Making Workshop on 14 March 2026.
Thanks to the OSA team, faculty members, and volunteers for their support. It was great to see students actively participating and showing interest in sparrow nests and string art.

From borrowed classrooms to building our own space…
Koodugal began at DHSS, CEHNNAI with generous support, then moved through floods, damaged buildings, and temporary spaces including RPC Matric Hr. Sec. School and even my residence.
We lost materials. We spent heavily on transport. We faced uncertainty.
But we never stopped.
Today, after years of struggle and resilience, we performed pooja for the construction of the Koodugal Trust Office. 🏗️
This is more than a building — it’s hope made real. 🐦

A quiet, usually silent student suddenly stepped forward and began fabricating a nest box independently. Teachers were surprised.
