DrupalCon Singapore Splash Awards Submission Form

Thank you for your interest in the inaugural DrupalCon Singapore Splash Awards 2024. The Splash Awards is a global tradition for the past 10 years which awards the best Drupal websites across different categories and judging criteria. Winners of the Splash Awards receive a trophy and certificate, while up to 4 nominees and a runner up also receive a certificate. At the end of Day 1 at DrupalCon Singapore, we will host an award ceremony available to all attendees at DrupalCon Singapore to announce the nominees, runners up, and winners in each category. To be eligible to win, please complete this form and provide information about the website you are entering. Submissions close on 15th October at 11.59pm (SGT). We wish you all the best with your submissions. If you have any questions about the program please reach out to [email protected]. Please be aware of the following conditions of entry before making your submission: The DrupalCon Singapore Splash Awards is only available to organisations in the Asia and Asia Pacific regions. This means: For websites: they must be developed for organisations primarily operating inside the Asia and Asia Pacific regions. Developers and agencies who live or work outside of Asia and the Asia Pacific region can submit if their client is inside the region. For open source projects: the key maintainer(s) of the project must live and work in the Asia and Asia Pacific regions. You must have the approval of the site owner to enter them into the Awards In each category, up to 4 nominees will be selected. From these four nominees, we will announce one winner and one runner up at the end of Day 1 of DrupalCon Singapore An agency or developer may make not more than 2 submissions in any individual category, but may make any number of submissions across all categories. This includes submissions made from subsidiaries or affiliated organisations. Submissions who are not shortlisted as nominees are not permitted to use any Splash Awards collateral or marketing materials. Submissions must be live and public websites which are expected to remain online for at least one year after the award ceremony. Judges will not review websites which are not finished yet. Each entry must be accessible to the judges and the general public. Intranets and sites behind firewalls and passwords cannot be judged fairly and as such are not eligible. If a category receives fewer than 4 submissions, it may be removed from the event. To avoid the appearance of any conflict of interest, any organisation which directly sponsors the award ceremony may not make any submissions. Drupal Asia Steering Committee members and DrupalCon Singapore event volunteers are not permitted to influence or alter the voting outcomes for any category, other than to disqualify the votes of any judging panel member found to have an undisclosed conflict of interest. Sites which are submitted do not need to be in English, but it will be harder for judges to evaluate your submission if they do not speak that language. We encourage you to submit links to English translations/versions of the site where possible. Previous winners and nominees of the DrupalSouth Splash Awards are allowed to enter as this is a separate award show covering the entire Asia and Asia Pacific region Final scores are tabulated by the planning team and are not published Any judge who is found to have breached confidentiality or an undisclosed conflict of interest will be removed from the panel and their votes voided.

Drupal means innovation: Introducing the innovation hub

As many of you may already know, the Drupal Association has set strategic goals for 2023 to 2025, such as doubling the number of organizations that are makers and tripling the number of contributions (Read the strategic plan here). In line with these objectives, I joined in 2023 to contribute to boosting activities in support of these goals. Since then, we've been up to some pretty exciting stuff.

DrupalCon Pitch-burgh Updates (10.2023)

Policy based access First, let's start with the most exciting part of the updates. The dedicated team working on Policy-Based Access has successfully completed the work. Kristiaan Van den Eynde has been a pleasure to work with and has always been very responsive. Here is Kristiaan's own update: The Access Policy API is ready to be committed and was integrated into core with zero test fails. It will revolutionize how contribution access modules are able to interact with the access layer.
