Drupal Camp England

Oh, and don’t forget to register your visit—we’re giving away a pair of the latest AirPods!

Beyond that, I’m also here as a member of the Drupal Association Board of Directors and, as elected member, representing the voice of the community. If you have ideas, concerns, or messages for the Board ahead of our upcoming retreat in Atlanta, let’s talk! I’m particularly interested in discussions around:

🌍 Sustainability
🚀 Innovation
🌐 The future of the open web
🧠 Mental health and community support

Here’s what you can expect:

✅ DrupalCMS made easy – Curious about Drupal? I’ll show you just how simple it is to get up and running on Pantheon.
✅ AI & Drupal – Have questions about AI or how to set it up? I can share some great documentation and videos!
✅ Partnering with Pantheon – Our European team is growing fast, and now is the perfect time to get involved. Let’s chat!
✅ Any other questions? – Whether it’s about performance, workflows, or the future of web development, come say hi.

I can’t put into words how excited I am to be at @DrupalCampEngland 😃

It’s been so long since the last #DrupalCampLondon, and this one feels extra special. For 10 years, I called London home, and this camp has always been one of my favorites. I can’t wait to catch up with the #Drupal community, meet new people, and dive into some incredible talks.

This time, I’m not just attending—I’m here with @getpantheon as a sponsor and host. If you’re around, make sure to stop by our booth!

In reality, investing in a managed hosting platform is far more cost-effective than the time and effort required to secure and maintain a bare metal server yourself.

Hope this helps you decide where to host your website! 😊

If you’re running a hobby site where occasional downtime, a security breach, or even a database leak wouldn’t be a major concern, then a #baremetal setup might be a good choice—it’s cost-effective and gives you full control.

But if your site is business-critical—whether it’s your own, your client’s, or part of your freelance work—then cost shouldn’t be the only consideration.

I’ve always debated between using a bare metal service like AWS or DigitalOcean (and I have to admit, I used to be a big fan of DO) versus opting for a managed hosting solution like @getpantheon. Beyond the developer tools and the ease of deploying changes following best practices, the key factor in this decision is how important your site is.

(Thread) I’m sure some of you had some kind of fond memories from #Drupalgedon after the #security release that happened last week.

I’ve had more than 2 and 3 questions from partners and customers regarding the past week event.

My answer is: you can rest assured that your sites are safe. Pantheon works closely with the @drupalassoc through the Drupal Steward program to keep your sites protected.

#drupal Pitch-burg was a success.

Curious why there hasn’t been a new round announced yet. Maybe something will be announced at DrupalCon Portland next week?

Pitchburgh update March 2024

As the Pitchburgh projects are reaching their final milestones and they get completed, I wanted to do something new for this update, something different and, hopefully, something exciting and fun as well. For this update I asked a few of them to provide a demo or video, so the project leads could explain in their own words, what their projects are about and how they look.
