Rastal@jim The "special relationship" with America has through successive governments become more and more about selling off as much of UK as possible to American corporations. Same thing in Whitehall, same thing in NHS, same thing in defense, same thing right across policy making, same thing right across the entire British economy which is now owned almost entirely by our American corporate overlords.
@ojcius To be fair, Britain feels betrayed too. UK fought in Afghan war. UK lost over 400 lives, tons of soldiers left it with PTSD, over a thousand more suicided themselves because of it. It was a war started under entirely false pretences by AMERICA, just like Iraq, and now America / Trump publicly trashes the UK contribution to it...
Oh, and so called "patriots" - who are loyal to a foreign country - then side with Trump!
@fj If USA wants Greenland, it will take #Greenland and there is realistically nothing #Denmark can do to stop it. Any military defense would be crushed and a guaranteed loss for Denmark
Negotiations are theatre designed to make the EU look weak. This should be a wake up call to #eu how weak and deindustrialized the US has forced EU countries to become. The only thing Denmark can do is grovel, which is the theatre Trump wants, but that's not negotiations and it shouldn't do that
