This might sound like a sensible plan from #NorthYorkshire to reduce travel costs and send pupils to the nearest school.. but round here we are close to the border of #Lancashire #Cumbria and #NorthYorkshire so it leads to a ridiculous mess. #SettleCollege currently has many students bussed in from #Ingleton and #Bentham.. but under new #SchoolTransport plans those kids would be sent over to #KirkbyLonsdale in #Cumbria because #QES is fractionally closer. If parents want pupils to go to other schools they will have to pay for transport...but... #QES is already full with no capacity to take all those extra pupils. of the nominated candidates was member of the nomination council, arrests of people who recommended boycott of the #election and only 27.5% voted in a pointless election.

#hongkong #districtcouncils #elections will not let people to decide what happens in their district, it's the #CCP that decides as the majority members in the council are appointed. This making Hong Kong closer to #YetAnotherCommunistCity

Now people in #Hongkong got even less power, only 20% of the seats in #districtcouncils will be selected by direct votes in #elections
This to prevent #democrats from holding power in a district. The rest of the seats will mainly be appointed by #CCP directly or indirectly.
