I've been on a journey to find the best #discbound #notebook setup for me. The story so far:

- Junior size notebooks are the most common in the US, but also are of such a strange paper size that it's hard to print custom sheets.
- A4/A5 are awesome, I wish we had these standards here. I can print A5 pages on a standard printer without much faffing about.
- Making DIY covers are more trouble than I'd like. I've bought a few hand punches and haven' t really been happy with the output. Between disc sizes and punch depths, it's a lot of work measuring with calipers and setting guides to get good, clean, and uniform punches.

Got a new #WilliamHannah notebook. #Discbound has been solid for me for a long time now. This is still a bit of an experiment but I hope it'll be nice.

I immediately swaped out the 60 pages that I'm sure a nice paper for 100 of tried and true #rhodia.

Scratching the surface of notebook systems, discovered "disc binding". Got a hole punch and some card stock on the way. Main thing that swayed me: being left handed and the fact I can fold it completely around.

I finally got a starter discbound notebook from Talia. It came with planner pages and stickers and lots of lined paper. I took out the planner stuff since I have my Hobonichi Hon for that. I’m planning on trying this out as a commonplace notebook. The lined paper is surprisingly very fountain pen-friendly. I don’t like the spacing of the lined paper, but it’s fine for notes and such. Thought I’d mention, if anyone’s looking for a starter discbound notebook.

Very interesting. I stumbled across this page searching for pocket-sized discbound notebooks (mainly want to find tiny discs). They specialize in D&D notebooks but have other gaming-themed notebooks such as a “farmer’s almanac” for games like Animal Crossing, etc.
