Quite the movie scene, but great to see #Lystrosaurus show up. I actually have a little herd of these guys. Very satisfying.
Mastodon, meet Rastodon!
Fossils of this little #dicynodont were found in southern Brazil.* Many dicynodonts sported prominent tusks, but the tusks of Rastodon were tiny nubbins that curved sharply forward, all but hidden behind its beak.
