For the third time in his letters, #Paul spoke of the Corinthian #Christians as the #temple of #God.  They would understand the temple of God could have nothing to do with #idols or their temples. 

Paul wanted the Corinthian Christians to act like temples of God, resisting #defilement and pursuing #holiness. 

We do well to understand ourselves as temples of God in Christ through the #Spirit, and should likewise strive to resist defilement and to pursue holiness.

Hitler's " #religion "...appealed to the 1st level of religion's promise to #cleanse & save from #defilement. #God continued to extend out hope for #restoration for #Israel. But God wanted Israel to understand one thing perfectly well: He would act for the sake of His name in so doing.

Israel acted corruptly; Ezekiel compared it to the #defilement of a woman's period. Israel was still bringing dishonor on the name of God in their behavior during the #exile.

Thus God would not restore them because of anything good they had done. God would act for His own sake.
