“The LLM decided” is not an explanation.
It's a gap where an explanation should be.
Every automated outcome has a human lineage: someone chose the objective, set the constraints, and signed off on deployment. The accountability didn't disappear. It just got buried deep enough that nobody has to feel it until something goes wrong. And when something goes wrong at scale, feeling it is no longer optional.
This is the part of the AI conversation that keeps getting skipped.
