You know what's really fun? When you come back from a very long day and find that the dryer has shit the bed and spend 2 hours trying to diagnose it (it *might* be the thermal cutoff switch), but while testing the suspect part, another somewhat related part broke in your hands and replacing both of them involves dismantling the entire dryer just to be able to get a socket driver to the part. I'm calling this one as not necessarily beyond my skill, but way past my "whirlpool engineers can die in a fire for that decision" and slightly outside of my comfort in the the safety of the resulting fix. The dryer lasted 25 years, has had it's brain replaced twice and it's thermal fuse replaced once. #dad #dadding #appliances #repair #ddiy
