I admin a local singles group on Facebook and here are some things that I've learned about the people there:

- men will gossip and spread drama way way more than women

- people in Facebook groups don't know how Facebook groups work

- people in Facebook groups don't know how Facebook works

- men are terrified they'll be scammed out of a $25 gift card, but don't understand that the simple solution is to not give anyone a $25 gift card

- men are also scared they'll look silly in front of other men

- women are scared they'll be murdered

I admin a local singles group on Facebook and these are some of their stories DUN DUN

Today I got a message from a man to tell me [woman in group] is a scammer.

I asked what happened so that he had decided that. And he responded that he sent her $100 for her to visit him in Dubbo to cover the petrol of driving there.

Something seemed off, not in the least because the woman he was complaining about had been in the group for months with nobody else making a complaint about her. So I asked him to send me screenshots of that conversation.

He said he didn't know how, but then sent me a picture of a notification that said "you have been paid $100 I to your account ending [****]". I explained that meant HE had been paid $100, and he said it was a screenshot shed sent him.

I messaged her and asked "can you please tell me about your chat with [man]?", and she responded saying they'd chatted on the phone the previous day. I asked her why he'd be complaining about sending her money, and she said that he bought some pictures off her.

Now.. here's where my patience ended:
I went back to him and asked him about buying pictures, and he said he was going to go to Dubbo police and he was sure they'd want to talk with me.

I don't like being threatened, and I don't intimidate easily.

I banned them both, and told him to be sure to spell my name properly on the police report.. and that the cops won't care, because he's just a silly man who should know better than sending money to a complete stranger..he's just feeling sore about making a silly decision and having to deal with the consequences of it.

[I'm not anti-SW. I was a sex worker for a long time. Facebook is anti-SW and I don't want the group shut down]

I admin a local singles group on Facebook, and these are their stories... DUN DUN

A couple of weeks ago I got a message from a woman in the group who was confused because she was being messaged by the admin of the group and threatened with being banned because she's from Goulburn.

I explained that I was the only admin for the group, and I had approved her joining and wasn't about to ban her just for being from Goulburn.

She sent me screenshots of the conversation she'd had with this random woman in the group who started telling her she was going to be banned and that she would be put on a Facebook Blacklist which would stop her from joining any more groups on Facebook.

So I messaged that woman and asked her why she was saying that, she didn't answer so I banned her from the singles group.

She then told me I would be added to the Facebook Blacklist and wouldn't be able to admin any groups any more (don't threaten me with a good time!), so I told her I was the admin of the Blacklist group and was going to add HER to the list so she wouldn't be able to join OR admin any Facebook pages or groups.

She said she knew I wasn't the admin of the (non-existent) Facebook page, so I made one. The only post in the page is her Facebook name.

She told me she knew it was a fake group because it didn't have any followers. I sent a "made ya look" laughing gif, and she spent the next 18 hours trying to call me and then messaging me to ask why I wouldn't answer.

Bullying people in a Facebook singles group because they're from Goulburn is weird.

I'm weirder.

Wow, so I’m in an #autistic #datinggroup on #Facebook. In one of the group chats, someone used a #functioninglabel and I told them to please not use them, and someone else told me to explain why they shouldn’t be used. I posted a link to this article explaining why they shouldn’t be used, and someone else told me that it’s a “#snowflakish” article. Internalized #ableism at its finest. https://graymattersmd.com/functioning-labels-autism/
