I've wrote a post about API/driver interface I've designed and implemented for making various devices equipped with OPL soundchip (responsible for that AdLib / SoundBlaster specific sound in old PC games) talk with SCUMMVM on Atari Falcon 030 (,but not only) and little bit about development itself. Some of it was already posted on Atari Forum / YT. https://nokturnal.pl/2025/07/nokturnfm-goes-scummvm #atari #scummvm #atarifalcon030 #atarifalcon #ct60 #retrocomputing #software_development #nokturnfm2 #nokturnfm3 #opl3 #opl2

Eye of the Beholder 2 with NokturnFM2 cartridge on Atari Falcon 030/CT60

Spend several days on hooking up and testing my OPL2/3 backend (FMlib) and integrated it with SCUMMVM to allow AdLib emulation via real Yamaha OPL soundchips (like those found in my NokturnFM cartridges) on 16/32 bit Atari's. I've recorded some footage directly from hardware (unfortunately video is a garbage from composite output, couldn't grab it the other way ;(, but on RGB monitor it looks awesome). #atarifalcon030 #OPL2 #scummvm #ct60 #NokturnFM #atari
