When you finally finish a zine after weeks of hemming and hawwing and edits, and you print and handfold a bunch of copies and then while cleaning you find a mockup of a rough draft with a cover concept you discarded, and you're like, "...I think I might like the old cover more..." 😩 🙈
Me: This weekend, I shall finally finish this in-progress fic that is 99% done!!
Me: *starts working on another fic*
POV: You hit post feeling proud… then see the typo everyone else saw first 👀🤣 Don’t worry, it’s basically a rite of passage in content creation.

Me: *random jokey comments with friend* ha ha how droll
Me: *hours later, in the midst of spending an inordinate amount of time executing an elaborate in-joke illustration* oh no
One of the magical things about making stories is that one day you can be spending an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out a key plot point involving interstellar travel, aliens, and saving several shipfuls of people, and then another day expending the same brainpower trying to figure out if two characters are fishing while they’re talking?? Eating something?? Wearing clothes?? What is happening here??
If you know you know!!
