Had a chance to spectate at #MoonshineBrutality. Though the shooting stuff was essentially like any other #shootingsport or #cowboyaction competition, the experience was very different. I have things to say about that and about how I'm going to try to participate next time.

You know how I said I was going to Old Bedford Village's Old West Weekend in spite of the heat? I was sweating just gathering things together to go and the forcast is for it to be 20 degrees hotter than that. In Victorian clothing, waistcoat, and a wool hat? No. I am passing on that idea.

I have decided that, in spite of the excessive heat, I am going to the Wild West Weekend event at Old Bedford Village. The ongoing plague has kept me away from many such events and I miss going. Everything is outdoors so that is not a concern I cannot mitigate. The heat, however.

I have been involved in Cowboy Action Shooting for a decade now but these guys in Japan are clearly having more fun than I ever had. And, while Airsoft guns can be almost as expensive as some real guns, they cost almost nothing after the initial investment. If we had this in the States, I would be much more involved.
