À propos of nothing, I have been irrationally annoyed by the fact that the Moccamaster has a hot plate that can’t be turned off without turning the whole machine off.

So yesterday - after 7 years of annoyance - I took the plunge and disconnected the offending pins.

No more of that slightly burned taste if I leave the coffee sitting too long after it’s done dripping ✌️

I haven't had a single-source Colombia coffee in way too long. This roast from Stumptown is glorious -- tasted as espresso the light-medium roast is a bit sweet, round bodied, there's a hint of warm spice on the finish with a light dark citrus note.

I'm out of practice on the country so I can't taste the regionality anymore.
