Mumbai terror attack case: U.S. govt urges Supreme Court to dismiss Rana’s petition for writ of certiorari

I'm not surprised with the #SCOTUS decision not to grant certiorari in the #Trump case. Last night I read Jack Smith's reply brief. 12-13 pages and not one argument as to why SCOTUS should skip the appellate court. He stated many "conclusions" but not a single argument.

Well, he did say that he wanted to wrap-up his case in the district court before the election. But he never laid out why that is so important that pre-judgment certiorari should be granted.

I fell asleep thinking he was going to lose.

Supreme Court agrees to quick review of Trump’s presidential immunity claim

The Supreme Court has been asked to weigh in on a question that will decide if the former president faces charges for efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

— This is covered in the Constitution's prohibition of the establishment of religion, the 14th amendment's grant of equal of protection to all citizens, and in #DavisVErmold when the #SupremeCourt denied the right to #Certiorari to #KimDavis.
