As far as commercial social networks go, I generally find #strava a positive place. I use it regularly to share details of cycling adventures, etc (along with pixelfed and others). But man, the #catphishing going on there is insane. To their credit, the company behind the service seems willing to take down the accounts involved based on abuse reports. The accounts tend to be so obvious, though, that the service really should be doing a better job of proactively filtering them.
