A National Grid crew working in the street at Dorchester Avenue at Ashmont Street in Dorchester around 6 p.m., struck a Boston Water and Sewer Commission main, turning Peabody Square into an impassible lake and forcing firefighters to evacuate at least one building after they started smelling a strong odor of gas. Does anybody know why the daily usage data has suddenly disappeared from the Boston Water & Sewer Commission #BWSC customer portal, and whether/when it will be restored? I use this data to monitor my home for leaks. It's a significant disservice for it to be taken away.

I have an automated job that runs daily at noon to check my water usage on the #Boston Water and Sewer Commission (#BWSC) customer portal. It failed today, and when I tried to log in just now manually to find out why, I got this. It worked yesterday, so the portal has been down for between 8 and 32 hours. There's nothing on their Twitter feed about the outage.
I hope this is just a run-of-the-mill outage, but frankly I'm suspecting #ransomware. I hope I'm wrong.
