ガードレールの下で胞子体をのばしていた#ハリガネゴケ（たぶん）
(perhaps #Bryum capillare)

仕事からの帰り道、蒴をつけたヒョウタンゴケを探して2㎞ほど遠回りして歩いたけど、ヒョウタンゴケは見つけられなかった。
でも、ここのハリガネゴケの集団は、いろんな成長段階の胞子体をたくさんつけていて面白かった☺️

車道のすみっこで、蒴をつくっている#ギンゴケ(#Bryum argenteum)

ホームセンターで買い物して歩いて帰る途中、蒴が熟して胞子をとばし始めているギンゴケがいたので、ルーペで覗いてみた。
ここのギンゴケの植物体の高さは5～10㎜。蒴柄は1～2㎝。雄雌異株であまり蒴をつくらないけれど、蒴をつくるときはたくさんつくるのかも。

Watch my little friend here rehydrate before your very eyes! This sample is from ASPA135 near #CaseyStation in #Antarctica, we desiccate and freeze our samples to store them & rehydrate them to identify which species they are 🌿

Visual estimates tell me this is #Bryum & either #Ceratodon or #Schistidium, but I’ll have to check their cell shape to tell!
