Working on a feature article for CoffeeGeek on the subject of paper filters for #brewcoffee vs using metal, glass, ceramic, porcelain, and cloth filters.

In the mid 2000s, many #coffee experts, many home baristas, myself included, were pushing to move away from paper filtration of pour over brewed coffee because paper blocks a lot of flavour-enhancing oils and lipids.

The V60 put a halt to that. Not for the best reasons either.

Time to get back to non-paper coffee brewing.
