Critical fire weather conditions are expected in South Park and across portions of Elbert and Lincoln counties. Relative humidity values will be as low as 10%, with northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph at times. In the afternoon, a cold front will bring northeast winds up to 40 mph for the plains.

Record heat will continue for northeast and north central Colorado Wednesday. In fact, high temperatures will be nearing the all time March heat records that we just broke last week! Expect cooler temperatures by Friday.

The warming trend will continue today, pushing highs into the 80's across our lower elevations and upper 60's to low 70's for mountain communities.
