Can't see the blocked post this is referring to, but the #NoKings event I went to definitely did more than that & so does much of what I'm seeing online. I'd certainly want MUCH more emphasis on systemic change, but it's certainly not absent. But, then, I've always been team #bothand.

To repeat: #bothand not either/or. Look at the trajectory of attacks on democracy in other countries for guidance. It's definitely mistake to think it's all or even mostly about 2020. But that #gaslighting fixation should be factored in, not ignored.

A #bothand situation. It's about Trump's narcissistic inability to accept his 2020 defeat AND it's about undermining democracy to preserve power in 2026/28. Let's not fight over which is most significant. Let's focus on how they illuminate each other. How #gaslighting works, spreads & is normalized.

I started a zine in high school in anger at how Malcolm X's assassination was being celebrated, because he was a hero of mine. So comments like this aimed at me have NO idea who I am. We always need to understand the particular as well as broad general patterns/structures/institutions. #BothAnd
