At the International Crane Foundation, we also saw a pair of Siberian Cranes which, by population, are more numerous than Whooping Cranes. But the bird's population decline is one of much greater concern. This bird may become extinct within our lifetimes due to habitation loss.

Safe return from an amazing homecoming trip with 3000 good moments.

Thankful for my new friend who kept asking how it was going, pulling stories and reflection out of me that are now a treasure box. She is inviting me to write a zine about my trip using the messages I sent her. 💌 Wow, new best friend!

So good to leave, and so good to be home with fresh eyes. I was strong before I left, but I'm recharged and resilient now 🤩

Three good things for today.

1. Had a good time at my Kumihimo group.
2. It was cold but the sun was shining.
3. I had lunch out, and I remembered to tell the waiter that I wanted NO salad dressing on my salad. (I don't always remember)

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things." - Philippians 4:8

Three good things today:
- We had breakfast with the homeless this morning and cleaned up an area in town. We did a lot of work.
- I visited my dad and sister.
- Management approved a seminar for me on neurodiversity, for colleagues. It might be a bit controversial, but I'm looking forward to it.

Went out of my way today to fix a problem that a customer noticed yesterday;

Managed to drive around the nasty thunderstorms in my area;

Mom said my #mandolin is pretty.

1. Saw a lizard on the path. We hardly ever see one here so very pleased.
2. Given my friend some words of advice from a Californian I know. She is going on holiday to the US in 10 days, and it doesn't seem quite the right time just now.
3. First pick of some of our own strawberries. Not many, but they have much more flavour than shop bought.

• Coming home (to the tent) and checking in on all my people here, including watering plants I worry about when I’m away for a dry spell, planting a succulent I’ve been carrying around in my car, and chatting with ravens (who seemed rather intent and serious for some reason)

• Wild strawberries, so sweet—that the critters missed somehow!?

• Refreshing supplies, including procuring books to read and depositing dirty laundry, for a return to the tiny home in a day or two

#3GoodThings

• A good, solid day of writing: like I opened a spigot and it all poured out

• Another cistus flower looking right at me—in a different location

• Interruption by only one mosquito as I did my exercise routine just before dark
