Bok Gardens Japanese Lantern.
The Japanese stone lantern was a gift of Usaburo Tsujita of Tokyo, member of Edward Bok's staff fro 1922 to 1925. The lantern representing seven years of his savings, is placed within direct sight of the grave of Edward Bok as a tribute and symbolizes, with its encircling doves, humanity's universal hope for world peace.

EdgeOne evening in 2007 we witnessed an amazing event here, where they had Project Bandaloop, a dance team who dance vertically, perform on the side of the tower as the sun went down. It's one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
One of our first trips to Bok Tower, only months before Charley destroyed so many of the old trees.
Afterward, I went and volunteered to help clear out debris, only to be sent home the second day because Frances was bearing down, too.
Now 20 years ago, March 2004.
