@anthonybearles @TheBreadmonkey Except in Northumberland, where the green bin is the grey bin and the grey bin is the green bin. That's because, before green bins were introduced, the grey bin was made green to be more appealing. So when green bins were introduced, they couldn't have two green bins so they made the new bin grey (for green waste, which is mostly brown) and left the old green bin green, for grey waste. #binception #Northumberland

So, let me get this straight.

The brown bin is for green waste whilst the green bin is for brown waste (cardboard), and the blue bin is also a green bin but for neither green or brown waste with the grey bin for everything else.

Does that just about cover it?

@anthonybearles

In my area, homes only have green, red, blue and black bins. Unless you're in a flat, as those are still allowed to use bags.

However, the red and blue bins are collected on alternating weeks, except for the Christmas period where there's a new timetable and a lot of us start to lose track again.

Today I learned that OneDrive has multiple layers of recycle bins.
