Quad believed Magistrate Rillyn to be taking bribes from the Guild in exchange for favourable outcomes to trials against guild members. After his banishment, he traveled to the Forest of Tethir, and trained day in and day out, in complete secrecy, just waiting for his eventual return. One day in training, the nautiloid captured him, and he's been out for revenge ever since...
