Why isn't there more discussion about democratizing this crucial infrastructure? I see Mastodon and Matrix but what about email?
I want to migrate from Gmail and yes protonmail but they are also subject to the for-profit logic. I want something different. Ideas? Suggestions? Alternatives?
Ja, och ska vi lära oss något av det som hänt i USA så bör vi inte springa till VC-backade europeiska motsvarigheter utan satsa på aktörer som är juridiskt icke-vinstdrivande / allmännyttiga. Det här handlar inte om att "bygga upp europeiska techbolag" utan om att bygga på ett annat sätt från grunden, som är mer resilient än det från Silicon Valley och vaccinerade mot girighet och maktkoncentration.
