My late father worked for a regional credit union, as a board member, and then as head of marketing. He always referred to #BendigoBank as a scam institution; one which pretended to be local, pitched itself as "community owned" when it was neither of those things, and would cause actual local, community owned credit unions to fold, or sell to them.

I don't know what's going on with Bendigo Bank in recent years. I thought we just had the worst branch in the country, but I suspect the fish rots from the head.

If they're not supporting our communities, then why bother? I approached our branch several times to get a better idea of what projects they are currently supporting, and they just never got back to us.
