I used to love Bempton Cliffs where we visited to see gannets, kittiwakes, razorbills, guillimots and (of course) puffins. Since BBC Springwatch visited some time ago and again recently it's become a bit on the busy side. Further down the cliffs, towards Thornwick Bay, is quieter and we often get a better view of the puffins. One year we had some flying round and round the beach over our head.

It's good that people love wildlife but my preference was when the place was obscure and little known.

Photo is of the beach south of South Landing on Flamborough Head near Dane's Dyke Nature Reserve.

On Friday I was at #RSPB #BemptonCliffs where I know they have the white form of Musk Mallow growing on site. Most of the flowers were over but a few were still out. A big, gaudy flower with delicate colours. #WildflowerHour #Yorkshire #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #photography
