This not only locks out de-googled phones, but since QR codes can be generated per browser request, Google can track exactly you visited a specific webpage, confirmed by your own smartphone. Which means: It doesn't even matter whether you're using a VPN.

[1] Neither this nor the barebones Google announcement page mention cameras, but I absolutely will not extend Google the benefit of the doubt given its "let's be evil as long as it makes us money" attitude. Amid the cries of 'just use f-droid' when talking about Google curtailing the Nextcloud sync client in Play Store, I notice that very few have bothered to include a link.
There are a considerable number of apps if you search for 'Nextcloud' in f-droid. A little daunting for new users, or those just unaware (or time poor).
The one to use is https://f-droid.org/packages/com.nextcloud.client/
Because "Be just evil enough to satisfy the 'line goes up forever' people indefinitely" didn't fit on the T-shirt.

I just did a Google search and the third link says "No information available for this page" clicking the "Learn why" link for that entry leads to an explanation that the site has blocked it via robots.txt.
FFS Google. Honor the damn robots.txt. If they've blocked you, you shouldn't be indexing the page.
