From Tumblr, this is the kind of energy I wish more people at my high school had (snowball's chance in hell, given where I went to high school).
Mahesh Babu, sharing the poem on his social media, wrote, "Respect, empathy, and strength of character are the real traits of a man. He who stands for equality, and brings kindness into his every action is a #RealMard. This #InternationalMensDay, join me in my commitment with @MardOfficial to redefine #ModernMasculinity."
Farhan Akhtar, who not only participated in the initiative but also lent his voice to the poem written by his father, the legendary Javed Akhtar, echoed similar sentiments. He captioned his post, โAt @MardOfficial, we envision a gender-equal future. This #InternationalMensDay, join our commitment to redefine masculinity as integrity, kindness, and honor. MARD poem - streaming now in 5 languages. Lyrics by @Javedakhtarjadu @sachin_rt @urstrulyMahesh @singer_shaan @YUVSTRONG12 @anuragrao123 #GenderEquality #BeAnAlly #AsliMard.โ
The Mard initiative โ which stands for Man Against Rape and Discrimination โ was created to raise awareness about gender equality and encourage men to embody values of respect and empathy. By leveraging the power of storytelling through this poignant poem, Mard seeks to inspire a shift towards a more inclusive and compassionate definition of masculinity.
The Mard Poem features an impressive collaboration of Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Shaan, Farhan Akhtar, and Mahesh Babu.

Well, convincing admins of big instances to get onboard with the idea is an uphill battle, as you'd expect.
So maybe something like regular folks posting descriptions of the images they'd normally upload instead of the images themselves could be a good, arguably less impactful alternative?

Iโm no longer posting pics of my kid online, but maybe posting descriptions will work. A toddler stares dispassionately into the camera, an entire whole waffle scrunched in his left hand, an immaculately cut waffle with blueberries on his plate in front of him, his bib speckled with maple syrup, his long hair hair sticky; his belly, though he does not care to admit it, is full. A tiny fork is cast aside, unused and unnecessary.
