It ~feels~ like the time is ripe for leftist political actors to take over (neo)liberal political parties,or depending on your political system (eg, Westminster) for leftist parties to take up the space (neo)liberals vacated.

I hope you're listening, #NDP, fed and provincial. You abandoned your own identity,and I signed up for the #BCGreenParty.

(Avi Lewis will be a positive influence. I don't know if that's enough to "save" the party.)

I recently became a member of the #BCGreenParty, and I sense a similar conceptual "thing" going on. If you centre a party on socialism, that's your praxis: the ideas you prize that lead to the actions you take.

If you centre a party on environmentalism, then *that* is your #praxis. You act for the climate, which is to say our collective survival in the face of, to paraphrase Doctorow, the capitalist #xenoforming of the Earth such that it's fit only for alien life, not human life.
