photosAnother random 3D design I made in prep for Iceland and to practice with some different ways of doing parametric modelling in FreeCAD. This is a simple CR123A battery case. My light meter and some of my 35mm cameras take these and just throwing the bare batteries in a plastic bag seemed like not the best idea. So I designed a case for them instead. For the rechargeable's, I was going to put them in positive side up to indicate they are ready to go and negative side up when they are depleted and in need of a recharge.
Much like my 120 film canisters, I may design a multi-top to keep several of these together. For Iceland though I think I'll probably just go with these single ones, keeping 1 or 2 each in my 120 and 4x5 kits.
These will probably make it to our direct store too! They are so small that the shipping overhead would be a bit silly without ordering something else, so we're looking at trying to update our shipping options so we can price these more realistically. I will also probably toss this up on Printables as well for folks that want to 3D print their own.

I AmAnitaLong shot here re #iPhone and #BatteryCase The switch on the right used to quickly wake up the camera and take a pic - very handy if wearing gloves for instance. Since the latest #iOS update it has stopped working and I have to muck about waking the phone and opening the camera app. #iphone11 btw. Anyone else?
