I've been thinking that considering want has happened to windows and what Google seems to have planned for android that we should start moving to open source os on all mobile devices as soon as possible.
The main block at the moment is banking apps which tend not to work without Google security stuff.

Pet peeve: Android apps that require developer and accessibility options turned off. I'm including Security Bank on the list.

Special F you to BPI that won't even let you login through the browser without an app Not to mention their recent update which disables the app for majority of Android users because you cannot use it without updating but you cannot update it if your Android version is below 14.0 (including ROMS that still receive updates e.g. HarmonyOS).

Personally I don't really understand why having a banking app is necessary if you can just log into the website in a browser. There has to be a reason though (besides ease of use or scanning checks, those I can understand).
